At the end of the summer, in September, Hyundai took advantage of the ever-present appointment of the Paris Motor Show to unveil all the details of its refurbished compact, the Hyundai i30. This model will reach our dealers at the beginning of next year, during the month of January, that is, in just a few weeks. And again it will surprise us with a leap in terms of quality and technology, positioning itself as a great alternative in the segment C of general brands.
As you know, Hyundai is an Asian brand, from South Korea. However, the new Hyundai i30 has virtually no trace of the old economic models that came from the Asian market. This product has been designed and developed in Europe, in the “Old Continent” where it is also produced. In this way, we could say that he is almost as European as the very Volkswagen Golf, the king of his segment.
The Hyundai brand has just announced that its Hyundai i30 has already started its production, which takes place at the plant in Nosovice, Czech Republic. It is not the first i30 that this factory produces since it was inaugurated in 2008 with the manufacture of this same model. Currently, the Hyundai ix20 and Tucson are also manufactured in Nošovice. This plant has the capacity to produce 350,000 units per year, with 3,300 employees and 500 robots.
The new Hyundai i30 will come with three petrol engines with 100, 120 and 140 hp, being the two most powerful variants supercharged by turbo; Although it is also expected a sports version that should appear several months later. In diesel, there will be three other options, with 95, 110 and 136 hp. On the other hand, the compact Hyundai offers a luggage of 395 liters, expandable to 1,301 liters lowering the second row of seats.
